Step It Up Ministries is committed to serving and healing women that have endured
extreme mental and physical distress due to lifestyles of homelessness in our Lakeland
city and other surrounding Polk County high risk area’s. With homelessness being a
way of survival these women have become broken and psychologically untrusting in the
stability of a healthy home environment as this way of life has become estranged.
Drug and mental volatility fueling chaotic domestic encounters and unhealthy homes
where children and families are separated and the overdose rates of our homeless
population is at its high due to the cognitive conditions of our homeless women. The
repeated exposures to these distressing lifestyles in the greater Lakeland area have
been survived by women who have been broken and often stemming from undiagnosed
mental illnesses that supported drug addiction, along with the continual recidivism of
returning in and out of our jails and overpopulated prison facilities with no other hope of
places to go.
Our Request
Step It Up Ministries is prayerfully asking for your help to prevent yet another generation from taking up the reigns of this unhealthy environmental lifestyle.
Step It Up Ministries is moving forward in reopening our newly refurbished home in the Lakeland Highlands area, we are asking for a monetary gift to sponsor 6- adult women’s placement in the home by gifting their 1st months financial obligations in the home at $800. each which leaves an end goal of $4,800. Your gift will support a much easier transition for a woman to enter safe stable housing. This can be done in several ways as a one-time, a group effort, or as a 2-part partial payment.
